Troop 161 Lyle Projects Alumni

Troop 161 has always had strong support for Robert S. Lyle, the Southeast Wisconsin Council Patrol Cooking camp located in Northern Wisconsin. Seeing we feel that our camp is unquestionably the best camp around, we have supported our camp not only by taking part in program for years bur assisting making it better for those in the future. Here is a few projects that Troop 161 has supported with labor and in most cases the funds. We encourage others to start similar tradition of making your camp better.

Trail Hawk Pavillion

was contructed by a local contractor with the funds provided by the Friends of Troop 161. It was erected and named in honor of Troop 161's Scoutmaster Tim Falendysz (Mr. F) The Trail Hawk was used becasue Mr. Fs Order of the Arrow Vigil name is Trail Hawk.

Horizontal Climbing Wall

was constructed as another adventure program at Robert S. Lyle.

Grumpy's Pier

was reinstalled to allow the Scouts of camp to have another access point to fishing. The pier is also used by adults to relax as well as to host the water front staff boat, Grumpy's Pier was named after a previous camp director, Ron Brinkman.

Frisbee Golf

was constucted by a few of our graduates or Troop 161. The first 9 Holes were constructed around the admin building area, but there are some plans for an additional 9 holes in another area of camp.

Eco-Con Observation Pier

was constructed so that Scouts could learn about the life near and under waterline of the lake without gettting thier feet wet, this pier is located in the EcoCon area. This pier was also funded by the Friends of Troop 161 fund

The Fire Bowl

benches were constructed to provide a more comfortable setting to enjoy the opening and closing ceremonies of the camp. The new seating arrangement oddly enough, seats 161 guests.
