A drug user is not loyal to the beliefs of his community, family or his scout leader(s). He will disreguard his old values in order to establish a new set to fit his needs even if he knows they are wrong. |

A scout is concerned about other people. He willingly volunteers to help others without expecting payment or reward.

A drug user is a very self centered person. He thinks only of himself and his drug community. Has very little concern for what he is doing to others. |

A scout is a friend to all. He is a brother to other scouts. He seeks to understand others. He respects those with ideas and customs that are different then his own.

A drug user treats people who used to be his friends like crap. Friendships become based on the availability of getting more drugs. In times of need these friends are no where to be found. |

A drug users moods vary drastically. By using drugs they become moody and indifferent to people. Stoned or drunk they can be extremely rude! |

Drug users lie to friends who care about them. Patience of a drug user is very short. Concentration on projects is short, thus frustrating them quicker and making them very short tempered. As he gets deeper he will even kill his fellow man for his habit. |

A scout follows the rules of his family, school, and troop. He obeys the laws of his community and country. If he thinks these rules and laws are unfair, he tries to have them changed in an orderly manner rather than disobey them.

Drugs are illegal! As a drug user you are breaking the laws of your community and in most cases the family. As a drug user gets more involved other crime becomes a problem as well, you need money to support your habit. |

A scout looks for the bright side of life. He cheerfully does tasks that come his way. He tries to make others happy.

Pot and alcohol are depressants, they can make you moody and irritable. This does not promote a cheerful attitude in others. |

A scout works to pay his own way and to help others. He saves for the future. He protects and conserves natural resources. He carefully uses time and property. |
Thrifty |
Using drugs is not a cheap habit. The money used on drugs could be put to better use. Time is wasted as they can not fuction for periods of time as they are buzzed or recovering from a buzz |

A scout can face danger even if he is afraid. He has the courage to stand for what he thinks is right even if others laugh at him or threaten him. |
Brave |
A drug user is a wimp that does not stand up to the peer pressure. He seeks the easy way out to make friends. He does not have the courage to find out what causes their depression, they just try to cover it up with drugs. |

A scout keeps his body and mind fit and clean. He goes around with those who believe in living by these same ideals. He helps keep his home and community clean.

Drug do not make your mind fit or clean. Under the influence of drugs you do not think straight or clear. Basically you are burning away brain cells. By using (and dealing) your promoting the use by others, not a very good thing for encouraging a clean community. |

A scout is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties. He respects the belief's of others. |
Reverent |
God asks us to treat our bodies as a temple. Would God approve of destroying the temple. Using drugs will destroy your body!! God does not support any personal self destruction. |
